Michael specializes in developing opportunities and partnerships within digital media and new technology spaces. Much of his expertise comes from his nearly-two-decade tenure at Axel Springer Group, where he helped the largest European publishing house grow into a world-class media and tech company with a significantly expanded footprint in the Americas, thanks to savvy digital-forward investments. Michael was also formerly the President of FutureTV Group, where he established and grew the brand in the Americas by executing targeted and innovative marketing initiatives.
Michael has also held leadership roles at SevenOne Media, Germany’s largest TV group, where he oversaw international markets in Europe, the Americas, and Asia, building relationships with Viacom’s MTV Networks in Latin America and holding global Business Development roles at Blockbuster Video.
Additionally, Michael continues to consult with Accuweather, as its former International Vice President of Business Development—leveraging his exceptional track record in the publishing, TV, and digital media spaces to facilitate partnerships between major media companies to expand the reach of Accuweather’s top-of-the-line weather solutions. He also serves on the board for RTL AdConnect, the largest TV network in Europe, and provides strategic counsel to further expand its footprint in the Americas. He has been an active member in several advertising associations, including the IAA, AAF, and EGTA, having served on the executive committee of the AAF and as a judge of both the Advertising Hall of Fame awards and the Advertising Hall of Achievement awards.
Michael maintains an active presence in the diplomatic community in New York and Washington DC as a member of the German CEO- and CFO-roundtables in New York. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Trinity University and an MBA in International Business from Bentley University.
