Michael Monheim

Michael Monheim specializes in developing opportunities and partnerships in digital media and emerging technologies. Much of his expertise stems from his nearly two-decade tenure at Axel Springer Group, where he helped transform Europe's largest publisher into a world-class media and technology company with a significantly expanded footprint in the Americas through savvy digital-forward investments. He continues to advise Axel Springer SE, a global media and technology company, on its various media brands (Politico, Business Insider, Morning Brew,  BILD and Welt) and classified portals (StepStone and AVIV Group). Michael also previously served as President of FutureTV Group, where he established and grew the brand in the Americas through targeted and innovative marketing initiatives.

Michael has also held leadership roles at SevenOne Media, Germany’s largest TV group, where he oversaw international markets in Europe, the Americas, and Asia, building relationships with Viacom’s MTV Networks in Latin America and holding global Business Development roles at Blockbuster Video.

In addition, Michael served in an executive role at Accuweather as the former International Vice President of Business Development – leveraging his exceptional track record in publishing, television and digital media to facilitate partnerships with major media companies to expand the reach of Accuweather’s world-class weather solutions. He has also served on the board of RTL AdConnect, the largest TV network in Europe, and is providing strategic counsel to further expand its footprint in the Americas. He has been an active member of several advertising associations, including the IAA, AAF and EGTA, having served on the AAF Executive Committee and as a judge for both the Advertising Hall of Fame Awards and the Advertising Hall of Achievement Awards.

Michael maintains an active presence in the diplomatic community in New York and Washington DC as a member of the German CEO- and CFO-roundtables in New York. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Trinity University and an MBA in International Business from Bentley University.
